New Light on Mozart's Piano Production in 1791
New discoveries by Mozart scholars Dexter Edge and Michael Lorenz cast new light on the possible 1791 context of a few piano works by Mozart (mainly K. 613 and the fragments K. 357, K. 312, K. 355).
Such piano pieces may have been written by Mozart, as a collaboration with the Imperial Prose Theatre of Vienna on request by the playwright Johann Friedrich Jünger and the actor Johann Franz Hieronymus Brockmann, to provide some incidental music for the successful and popular comedy Er mengt sich in Alles (constantly in repertory from 1791/92 until 1853 and even until 1875).
